'BOOKWORM' App
The Book Store App

This app is designed for readers/ users to explore the store either for lending the book or purchasing.
Book store app UI Case Study
Overview
Bookworm is a book store app that brings more joyfulness and easiness to browsing books in-app and the time saving on searching specific books compared to buying at any book store. Bookworm is aimed to bring easy navigation to using the app while browsing and is safe for all ages to use. The goal of this design is to give the best convenience and charms on using the app daily.
Tool: Figma
This project is an individual project by me with academic observations and UI research throughout the most used bookstore apps in the market.
Duration: 4 weeks.
Problem Statement
The purpose of this project is to find the most convenient yet fun design from all book store apps' designs on the market by doing some research to find the bad and the lacks of their designs. Bookworm has everything that is simpler to use and straightforward without going through many steps to purchase a single book.
Users and Audience
This app can be used regardless of the age of the users, which means that every user of all ages can use it, as this app features 'categories' of books and a member account based on the age of the account user.
Roles and Resposibilities
Starting by doing research on what features in-app most users finding it useless, such as an easy feature to find a specific book; a 'category' feature to show the variable availability of various books and simple and easy steps to checkout.
Process
Research to Understand - doing research is the most important step to start with. First, looked at the most used book store apps such as Barnes and Noble, ThriftBooks, Bookstores.app, and BookOfTheMonth. There are many words of context in each element that lack key points of what they are selling through the app; Too many buttons to click when users want to see the content of the book and add to the cart; Lastly, too many options offered that makes it a bit inconvenience for users to navigate the entire app and store websites.
Solutions - by removing all the unnecessary features for easy navigation is the solution for the UI design. Therefore, Bookworms has it all, which brings users straight ahead to simplicity in purchasing a book.
However, Bookworm is only an app NOT a store, which means that the app does not offer a 'Pick-up' option.
